Wildlife photography tour in SOUTH INDIA |
NEI UK, in conjunction with Orange County Resorts, is proud and privileged to offer fabulous
wildlife photography tours in Karnataka and Kerala, led by Giri Cavale. These beautiful and ecologically diverse southern Indian states are well known for their stunning scenery and fascinating backwaters. Not surprisingly, the wildlife of such remarkable places is also diverse and beautiful. All too often a lot of smaller animal and birdlife is overlooked, and this is a great pity because Karnataka and Kerala have so much for the naturalist to see. Giri Cavale is one naturalist and wildlife photographer who has been photographing the wild life of his native Karnataka for many years. Giri's photographs have received critical acclaim and now NEI (UK) is proud to announce a series of tours which will be led by Giri to enable all those interested in wildlife and photography to seek out and photograph many of the beautiful birds and other intriguing wildlife which abounds in Karnataka and Kerala. On a daily basis Giri will be with the group to lead you to where he finds his subjects and will guide you through the intricacies of taking your own memorable photographs. The tours offer excellent accommodation throughout and comfortable transport will be provided, enabling you to relax and enjoy the whole tour and bring back with you not only fabulous memories but a better knowledge of photography and some beautiful photographs of your own. |
Giri Cavale ‘Born in Bangalore but reborn in the wild’, captures the essence of Giri’s obsessive passion for nature and its pictorial documenting. His camera and his artistic eye are always on the look out for a momentous picture and, of course, the perfect shot. He has explored some of India’s most enthralling ecosystems across various seasons with the simple objective of seeing and photographing nature up close in its pristine purity. He readily admits that two precious ‘colleagues’ - luck and patience – have always accompanied him on his expeditions into the wild, yielding some very fine photographic moments and equally wonderful memories. These personal forays into the world of nature photography soon led to a deeper understanding of the fragile world of wildlife. He conducts regular photo and wildlife tours as well. |
You will fly into Bangalore and travel onwards by road, visiting Mysore, Kabini, Coorg, Calicut, Thattekkad and fly back to the UK from Cochin |

When you step into the portals of Orange County, Coorg, you leave one world behind, and step seamlessly into another: the bygone era of the
Gentleman Planter, ensconsed in the cocooned comforts of a lush plantation paradise,
perfumed with the subtly intoxicating aroma of coffee and spice. Bordered by the legendary river Cauvery, and surrounded by virginal forests, this 300 acre working plantation resort perched at a height of 800m, gives you the most luxurious introduction yet, into the deepest secrets of this mystic mountain |
Orange County’s 'Spirit of the Land' philosophy finds its most intimate expression at Kabini where the casual visitor is drawn into the very bosom of the Nilgiri biosphere. While you are cradled in the lap of luxury, the Resort manages to give you a wildlife experience like no other, and enjoins you to be part of the vibrant social tapestry of the local Kadu Kuruba tribe. Steeped in local lore and culture, and inspired in design by the Hadis (tribal villages), this picturesque resort of sweeping panoramic vistas is bordered on two sides by the Kabini River. |
This is just one of our tours to south India, but we have many more. Please contact us for more information |
