Day 07 Jaipur This morning you will be driven to the nearby 16th century hilltop fortress of Amber, ascending the tortuous paved pathway to the fort on elephant back. In the afternoon you visit City Palace - a city within a city, it includes the Govind Deo Temple; the Jantar Mantar observatory and the Maharaja's museum. Maybe hear the history of Glenburn, and a brief overview of how the world famous Darjeeling tea is grown, manufactured and tasted. Walk down to the river bank for lunch and over the suspension bridge to Sikkim on the far bank. Travel higher into the mountains. Go fishing in the river. Stroll through the tea fields. Learn how to pluck the “two leaves & a bud” – that is later manufactured into the tea leaf that enters your teacup! Visit the Tea Nursery; learn about the different varieties of tea plants and how they are transplanted into the fields when ready.
